Terms & Conditions
Last updated: August 2026
1. Who you are contracting with
These terms are an agreement between you and The Educated Edge ("The Educated Edge", "we", "us", "our"), the provider of the Restorative Leadership & School Culture Training (the "Course"). You can reach us at Melissa@eedge.net.
2. Acceptance
By creating an account, purchasing enrollment, or continuing to use the Course you agree to these terms. If you are purchasing on behalf of a school, district, or other organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization. If you are purchasing as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age to enter this agreement.
3. What we provide
The Course is self-paced online professional learning consisting of narrated video modules, reflection prompts, downloadable handouts, an AI practice coach, and a completion certificate stating professional development contact hours. Individual enrollment grants one named learner access. A group license grants access to the number of seats purchased, claimed through a group code issued to the purchasing organization.
4. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Please give us accurate information and keep it current. Seats are for one person each and may not be shared; a district may reassign an unused seat by contacting us.
5. Licence and restrictions
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the Course for your own professional learning and to use the printable handouts within your own school or organization. You may not resell, redistribute, publicly broadcast, re-record, or republish the videos or materials; share your access with people who have not purchased a seat; use the Course to deliver paid training of your own; or circumvent any technical limits on access.
6. Intellectual property
The Educated Edge retains all ownership of the Course, including videos, narration, written materials, diagrams, frameworks, branding, and the platform itself. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of any of it to you. Reflections and notes you enter remain yours; you grant us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the Course to you.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Course to:
- break any applicable law or regulation;
- commit fraud, send spam, or misrepresent who you are;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- interfere with the security or integrity of the platform, including introducing malware, probing or scanning systems, or scraping content; or
- submit unlawful, harassing, or abusive content, including to the AI practice coach.
8. AI practice coach
The Course includes an AI assistant that answers questions about restorative practice using the course material. Its responses are generated automatically and may be incomplete or inaccurate. It is a learning aid only. It is not legal, human resources, clinical, or special education advice, and it must not be used as the basis for a decision about a specific student, family, or employee without your own professional judgement and your organization's own review. Do not enter personally identifying information about students, families, or staff into the coach. You are responsible for what you submit to it and for how you use what it produces.
9. Educational content disclaimer
The Course is professional learning, not consulting on a specific case. Nothing in it constitutes legal advice on discipline law, special education compliance, or employment matters. Always apply your own district policy and applicable law.
10. Payment and subscription terms
Enrollment is a one-time payment for ongoing access; there is no recurring subscription. Prices are shown at checkout in US dollars, and applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated there. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, invoice, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Districts may instead request an invoice or purchase order; access is activated once the purchase order is approved, and payment is then due on the terms stated on the invoice.
11. Refunds
See our Refund Policy.
12. Availability
We work to keep the Course available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, third-party outages, and updates to course content may cause temporary interruption. We may add to, improve, or replace modules over time.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violation of the acceptable use rules above. Where the situation allows, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. If your access ends, you may keep any handouts and certificate you have already downloaded.
14. Warranties and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Course is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where the law does not permit that limitation.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify The Educated Edge against claims arising from content you submit, your unlawful use of the Course, or your breach of these terms.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the Course develops. The date at the top shows the current version, and continued use after an update means you accept it.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island and the applicable laws of the United States, and the state and federal courts located in Rhode Island have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the business. Neither party is responsible for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control.
